Missiles a bit buggy?

Just been toying around with missile launchers and they seem a bit random as to when they fire.Sometimes my ship wouldn't fire them at all and at other times he would only fire them after both he and the enemy ship had passed each other.

P.S. You might also want to look at the Planet Properties generator.I just got two planets that have both "Scarce Ore Deposits" and "Rich Ore Deposits." Still trying to figure out whether they'll produce more or less metal than normal.

The planet just has few ore deposits, but all the ones that there are, are rich in ore. Probably balances out somewhat.

From looking at the tool tips, scattered ore reduces the rate by half and rich ore increases it by 50%, so it should be 75% of normal.
