Support for simple collision meshes coming some day?
« on: March 13, 2015, 09:43:41 AM »
For small/tiny objects having everything act like a sphere is just fine, but for any ships who's design is very long, or very large ships that are not big balls, things act weird. Especially for large ships, they push everything above and below them away with their invisible force bubble.

If support for a basic collision mesh is too hard on calculations and such in large battles, perhaps we could just define our own custom size rectangle/box to be a ship's collision mesh?

The uniformity of the math lets the physics system run very, very quickly. I don't expect to add support for any other collision shapes.

Perhaps then a way to reduce the size of the bounding sphere regardless of the ship's actual size?
