[Script] Object Metadata
« on: August 23, 2010, 06:53:44 PM »
Would it be possible to add functions to store generic data in objects (like object.setMetaData and object.getMetaData, where the set would accept any data and the get would have like getFloatMetaData and so on)?
This would let us create stuff like planet habitability, atmosphere, etc (like in space empires) easily, without requiring you to implement more specific functionality.

There's a possibility for this. The main issue is saving and loading this generic data.

I second this motion, it would be a solid addition for the future.
