New Patch: v1.0.6.2

Version 1.0.6.0 and a small followup patch 1.0.6.2 have been released. Steam users will be up to date shortly.

Download 1.0.6.0 (Patch from 1.0.5.4)
Download 1.0.6.2 (Patch from 1.0.6.0)

Major Changes: Full Changelog
[Fixed] Numerous bugs.
[Changed] Other Empires must be met before being able to contact them in the Diplomacy window.
[Balance] Rebalanced the economy to make expansion require much more investment.
[Added] Better and more configurable ship automation: automatic fleet joining, carrier strike craft automation, customizable orders.
[Added] Economy reports for the empire-wide economy and individual planets.
[Added] Ships can be set to respond to enemies in systems around them, rather than just their current system.

Please tell me Impulse will get the update soon.  Impulse is still on 1.0.5.2, so I need to manually update three times to get the latest version.

They have been sent the patches.  They'll be up to date soon.

I just DL'd the patch and now I can't see the time controls, or the tabs for Empires, blueprints, and system.  Plus I can't open ANY of the dialogue windows.  The game is now unplayable, where as it functioned properly before the patch.

Could you post your log.txt (found when you click the User Files shortcut in your game folder)

That might help us figure out what is wrong.

Hi there,

I got a similar problem. I can see some more stuff (planets research) than MaximusNukeage  does. However i also cant acccess the planetary build queue or set the time multiplier.

I have also some Mods installes but clean instalations in the mod folder.

Something went horribly horribly wrong with your installation, the errors there make very little sense.

I would suggest wiping everything and reinstalling all the patches in the correct order.

I just have to say: Thankyou Thankyou Thanyou Thankyou. Thank you! Tried these out last night and they work great, was able to build fighters, carriers, and armed merchantment and they performed as expected. This game just got a lot more playable/fun.

Well last time I checked the version was 1.0.3.0. The changes are insanely good, the new interface is awesome, but...
With increasing dimensions the float error becomes pretty intensive screwing the game up. Also beyond research level 270 only bugs wait.
And are Jumping ships supposed to vanish? Well I just tried to let pretty big ships (100000+) jump...
