The indicator that used to be on the bottom middle is gone. I have like 199 hours listed on steam playing (lots of that because I didn't shut the game down overnight). Odd it breaks now. :(  Hoped to play.

Ok, it worked well yesterday. I am using steam. Maybe steam tried to update it.

What can I do if I am using steam to get this patched?

Anyone know how to recover this.  Its the thing that lets you turn the game speed up or down and pause.

Yesterday, I was trying to design a ship hoping to defend the equipment inside it. I had read somewhere that armor should be placed around the ship, because damage from that area might cause the modules to take damage.

My question is, does this work by Quadrants, or do you have to protect like 360° around the ship? For instance, in the attached image my weapons are taking damage before the armor.

Yes, I am still trying to figure out ship design :)

What I don't get, yesterday I was playing a game with Prim (us against the AI) yesterday and I looked down to see what he was doing and within short order he had a Dry Dock orbiting a planet. A couple of minutes later he was producing 100... then 200 size ships.  Completely murdering everything. Hard to imagine how thats even possible... yet he was doing it.

There has to be some tactic to this I haven;'t figured out yet :)  But I have been trying.

few things you must make sure are existant on your mining vessels if you want efficient deep-space mining operations:

My mining ships seem to change targets all the time. Is there a way to control this.  Their effeciency is horrible from all the mind changing.

Ok, here is what confuses me.

I saw this file earlier but what is shown in Star Ruler is not what is in the file.

For instance advpartworld shows up in Star Ruler as "Adv. Part World" .  I presume there must be some file that translates the id of advpartworld to "Adv. Part World" unless this hard coded which I doubt because the mod Galactic Armory has added governors.

What do you normally Play?  I have recently purchased the game... I die ... oh so very very much. I saw these mods,  I have installed them ... but I wondered are those advanced mods?  Is it better to play Star Ruler as it comes for a long time then move to those mods?
